How you can help

TAV Certified Service Dogs are provided to veterans at no cost - but require an enormous amount of time, effort and money to train. Expenses include up to 18 months worth of food, vaccinations, medical care, housing, transportation, professional training and special equipment including harnesses, vests, leads, identification patches and cards. Partnerships with donors, sponsors, and the helping hands of volunteers makes these life-changing Service Dogs possible for our veterans.

There is no government funding for PTSD Service Dogs - and the cost to breed, raise, train and partner a TAV Service Dog averages $25,000. (The applicant’s only expense is a minimal application and equipment fee.)
