How you can help

This Able Veteran is determined to provide Service and support dogs to our Veterans living with their injuries.  But the path to becoming a TAV Certified Service dog is neither easy, nor short. TAV needs donors, Corporate Sponsors, and the helping hands of volunteers to continue our work.

Training TAV service dogs requires an enormous amount of time, effort and money. Costs include food, vaccinations, medical care, housing, transportation, professional training and special equipment including harnesses, vests, leads, identification patches and cards

The cost to breed, raise, train and partner a TAV canine can run from $15,000 to $30,000 but are provided to service members at no cost to the veteran. (The applicant’s only expense is a minimal application and equipment fee.) There is no government funding and we are able to provide this service only through your generosity.

Donate through PayPal or if you prefer to mail a check, please send it to:

Every veteran receives a crate for their new Service dog. We need donations of new, sturdy, medium- and large-sized crates. Locally, crates or gift cards can be purchased at Rural King or monetary donations of $85 will cover the cost of one crate.

If you would like to volunteer, we need people for:

  • dog walking
  • construction and maintenance
  • transportion of dogs
  • office skills (data input)
  • cleaning
  • cleaning runs
  • feeding the dogs
  • volunteers for events

Corporate Sponsors are needed! Please help This Able Veteran meet the needs of our returning Veterans.  This is work worth doing!
